Stratus ES (Appareo) Features and Specifications *
Stratus ES is a device that provides Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) Out capabilities to aircraft without the need for a built-in GPS. Instead, it can be paired with a Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) GPS navigator, such as a portable or panel-mounted device, to make the aircraft rule-compliant for the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) mandate for ADS-B Out. This allows aircraft owners who have already invested in a WAAS GPS to add ADS-B Out capabilities to their aircraft at a more affordable cost.
The Appareo Stratus ES price and features make it a very attractive option comparing to similar transponder test sets available on the market.
- Meets global mandates for ADS-B Out
- 1090ES (Mode S extended squitter)
- Pressure altitude monitor
- Push-button operation
