Flight Data Readouts (FDS) Features and Specifications *

Flight Data Systems (FDS) provides a readout service through AvionTEq for FDRs, CVRs, SSCVRs and DLRs to ensure compliance, operational safety and recorder serviceability in the industry. Such readouts are generally done once a year, although they may also be required following an event, maintenance event or regulatory inspection.

In the FDS analysis services, these include annual serviceability verification, parameter correlation analysis, investigation of incidents and events, audio analysis report including intelligibility checks for CVR or FDR datalink readouts and also recorder health monitoring. All analysis is conducted in accordance with internal procedures that have been established to align with recognized aviation standards, including, but not limited to: UK Civil Aviation Authority CAP731, FAA AC 20-141B, FAR 121.344(d)(f), ICAO Annex 6 requirements and EASA and other emerging global flight recorder standards.

SRVIVR25 / 25-Hour CVR Compliance Support

As ICAO and FAA mandates require 25-hour Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) recording capability for many transport-category aircraft, Flight Data Systems now offers SRVIVR25-enabled readouts and verification services across the board. These services allow operators to demonstrate compliance with existing and future regulatory requirements for long-duration cockpit voice recording systems.

FDS supports CVR systems with 25-hour capability, including testing of both new and legacy recorder configurations (including HHMPI Version 3 (V3) platforms) at SRVIVR25. This functionality helps operators, MROs and maintainers to validate the recorder's performance, confirm retention of data and assure regulatory compliance.
