The Extended Handheld Download Unit (eHHDLU) offers compatibility with the new HON HCR-25 hour recorder systems. The device is equipped with a new Honeywell proprietary software application that is preinstalled in the -080/-081 eHHDLU.

It is compatible with both HCR-25 FDR and HCR-25 CVR, which are Honeywell's latest flight data and voice cockpit recorders.
