Laversab 6270 Features and Specifications *

It is a sophisticated and reliable device specifically designed for performing leak-checks and accuracy checks on the Pitot Static systems of Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum (RVSM) aircraft. This advanced unit is crucial for ensuring the precision and safety of aircraft instrumentation, including altimeters, airspeed indicators, and Vertical Speed Indicators (VSIs). It stands out for its high accuracy and compliance with RVSM requirements, making it an indispensable tool for aviation professionals. One of the most notable features of this equipment is its high precision in static output. The unit offers a range of measurements in feet, meters, inHg, mbar, psi, mmHg, and kPa. The pressure function operates within a range of 1 to 32 inHg, with a resolution of 0.001 inHg and an accuracy of 0.003 inHg. This high degree of accuracy ensures that the static output meets the stringent standards required for RVSM operations. Additionally, the altitude function covers a range from -2000 feet to 60,000 feet, with varying degrees of accuracy depending on the altitude. For example, it offers an accuracy of 3 feet at 0 feet, 4 feet at 10,000 feet, and 18 feet at 50,000 feet. This comprehensive range and accuracy make it a versatile and reliable instrument for a wide array of aviation applications.

The model also excels in pitot output measurements. It can measure airspeed in units such as knots, Mach, kmph, mph, and EPR, with the pressure function ranging from 0 to 30 inHg (differential). The resolution is 0.001 inHg, and the accuracy is 0.003 inHg, ensuring precise readings. The airspeed function offers a range from 0 to 650 knots with varying degrees of accuracy, from 1.0 knots at 20 knots to 0.04 knots at 500 knots. The Mach function ranges from 0.0 to 3.0 Mach, with an accuracy of 0.001 above 0.2 Mach. This wide range of capabilities ensures that the it can handle the demands of modern aviation testing with ease. In terms of usability, it is equipped with a range of features that enhance its operation and convenience. The unit includes a remote device with a keypad and a large, sunlight-readable display, making it easy to operate in various lighting conditions. The optional internal battery provides six to eight hours of operation, adding to the unit's portability and convenience. The "Profiles" feature allows for the storage of up to 15 profiles with 50 points each, streamlining the testing process for recurring tasks. The "Jog" feature enables users to change targets in steps of 1 foot or 1 knot using arrow keys, further enhancing the precision and ease of use. It also includes several safety and diagnostic features. It offers altitude offset correction, programmable limits, and protection against negative airspeed. The unit conducts a self-test to check all internal functions, ensuring that it is always ready for use. The "Go To Ground" feature and automatic ambient-pressure sensing add to the safety and reliability of the device. Additionally, the unit has manual vent valves for emergency venting and the capability for independent or simultaneous leak-checking on pitot and static outputs. These features make it robust and dependable tool for aviation maintenance and testing.

Leak detection is another area where it excels. It provides an instant leak-rate display, which enhances leak-detection capabilities. The unit can program three leak-timers for timed leaks between one and 20 minutes, allowing for precise control and monitoring during leak checks. The strong pumps, with a minimum life of 5000 hours, ensure long-term reliability and durability, reducing the need for frequent maintenance. It is designed with portability and ease of use in mind. The main unit measures 22” x 14” x 9” and weighs 34 lbs, while the remote unit is 6” x 6” x 1” and weighs 1.8 lbs. The unit is equipped with a pull-out handle and wheels, making it easy to transport and maneuver. This portability is complemented by its robust environmental specifications, with an operating temperature range from 0°C to 50°C, and an optional extended range from -40°C to 50°C. The unit can also be stored in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 75°C, and it can operate in humid conditions ranging from 5% to 100%. In terms of power requirements, it operates on 90-260 VAC, 47-440 Hz, with a power consumption of 100 W (200 W with heaters). The optional internal battery provides up to eight hours of operation, ensuring that the unit can be used in various locations without the need for continuous power supply. The unit also features WiFi and RS232 interfaces, with an optional encoder interface, enhancing its connectivity and integration with other systems.

The price and features make it a very attractive option comparing to similar pitot static test sets available on the market.
