The sensor housing is sealed and water-resistant, ensuring reliable operation in diverse environmental conditions. Furthermore, the USB connectivity between the sensor detector and readout unit offers flexibility, enabling data transfer and analysis with ease. The device maintains a resolution of a 4-digit auto-ranging display and boasts an overall accuracy of better than ±5% when referenced to NIST standards. This exceptional precision makes it an indispensable tool for professionals who demand reliable and consistent measurements in their workflows.

The technical specifications of the tool highlight its versatility and capability. The readout unit (XR-1000) features a monochrome LCD screen with a diagonal size of 2.8 inches, providing a sampling rate of 7.5 Hz for single sensors and 15 Hz for dual sensors. The device’s read update rate is set at 2 Hz, ensuring rapid and accurate data updates. Additionally, the temperature coefficient of +0.025%/°C guarantees reliable performance across a temperature range of 0 to 50°C. The dual UV-A/visible sensor detector (XDS-1000) offers an irradiance range of 0–100 mW/cm² for UV-A light and 0–5,300 lux for visible light. These ranges cater to the diverse needs of professionals requiring precise light measurement capabilities. The device is powered by two non-rechargeable 9V alkaline battery cells, providing dependable power for extended use. Compact dimensions and lightweight construction further enhance the portability and usability of this tool. This comes as a complete kit, ensuring that users have everything they need for immediate operation. The kit includes a water-resistant USB cable with an adapter (XCB-100), a rubber boot (XRB-100) for added protection, and a sturdy carrying case (XCC-100) for convenient transport and storage. These accessories enhance the device’s functionality and ease of use, making it an all-in-one solution for professionals in the field. Another noteworthy accessory compatible with XRP 3000 is the AccuMAX™ XS-555/L luminance sensor detector. This optional component measures the brightness of visible light sources and provides users with the flexibility to display results in three units of measure: candelas per square meter (cd/m²), candelas per square foot (cd/ft²), and footlamberts (fL). This additional capability further expands the Spectroline XRP-3000’s range of applications. This is specifically designed to address the needs of professionals in NDT and other industries requiring precise light measurements. Its compliance with ASTM standards for MPI and FPI ensures that it meets the rigorous requirements of quality assurance processes.
